A truly guilty pleasure. What can I say? I was sick in bed
with a migraine for two days. I love Ms. Rice’s way of describing the world and
the ridiculous dialog she puts in her characters’ mouths, but I can’t stand
what she’s done to my favorite vampire characters. So I downloaded an audiobook
from her high Christian era, no characters I once cared about to be further
mangled, and I wasn’t disappointed. I got exactly what I wanted: purest cotton
candy.
